This is one of the most popular bays in Huatulco. It has many tourist-related activities and several hotels to choose from. This is a deep bay with a small harbor for local fishing boats, sport fishing boats, and tourist tour boats. There is also a long dock used by larger ships including a few large Cruise ships. When a cruise ship is in port, you can expect to see more people than usual enjoying the beaches, restaurants, and shopping areas. In the harbor, there are several locations where you can charter a sport fishing boat, set up a Snorkel/Scuba trip, or take a boat tour of the bays/beaches of Huatulco. Several tour boats are large catamarans They go out daily to several bays and stop for swimming and snorkeling. They offer a great way to spend your day with about 100 new friends. Most of these boat adventures leave mid-morning and return before sunset.

 

If you are into food there are many places to eat around Santa Cruz. You can eat some of the best seafood around and have a beer on the beach in the sand, at one of the many restaurants within a few feet of the water's edge, or enjoy a restaurant away from the sand on solid ground. wherever you choose to eat there will be some great food available. Santa Cruz has several different kinds of restaurants, to keep almost everyone satisfied.  Also, you can find restaurants in most of the larger hotels and they're open to non-hotel guests.

The beaches here in Santa Cruz have very small waves (ankle slappers) making them a great beach for kids to play and have fun. There are designated swimming areas to keep everyone safe.
