This is a deep bay with a small harbor for local fishing boats, sport fishing boats, and tourist tour boats. There is also a long dock used by larger ships including a few large Cruise ships. When a cruise ship is in port, you can expect to see more people than usual enjoying the beaches, restaurants, and shopping areas. In the harbor, there are several locations where you can charter a sport fishing boat, set up a Snorkel/Scuba trip, or take a boat tour of the bays/beaches of Huatulco.
